Stool Land-Land held by stool subjects for a determinable estate-Alienation of determinable estate to stool stranger without consent of stool-Whether alienation voidable at suit of stool or void ab initio. Pledge-Land-Rights of pledgee as to possession and as to assignment of pledged land. In this action before a Native Court the plaintiff sought to redeem a plot of stool land from the third defendant. He claimed that the plot was one which his predecessor had held of the stool for a determinable estate and had pledged to the first defendant. The first defendant asserted that although he had been involved in the transaction the pledge had in fact been taken by the second defendant.
