MEDZ-MOROUKIAN vs. HAROUTUNIAN

The plaintiff, employed by the defendant to manage his Accra business for a fixed term of 24 months at a monthly salary of £G100, was provided accommodation and transport. The plaintiff assumed duty in August 1961. The defendant returned to Ghana in December 1961, took the car away from the plaintiff, and began interfering with the business operations. A dispute arose over transport expenses and an alleged stock shortage. The defendant terminated the plaintiff's employment effective April 30, 1962, citing misconduct and refusal to accept responsibility for the alleged shortage.
