In a petition dated 30th November 1999, the complainant prayed this Commission to review his summary dismissal from the Respondent. He stated that he was dismissed for an alleged misappropriation of NVTI Credit Union funds. He stated that there was no independent inquiry on the matter. He claimed to have been victimized for his role in exposing same officials in the cause of his duties. He stated further that he and others benefited from a "controversial loan". The loans did not pass through the Loans Committee as was the prescribed procedure. He also stated that others had embezzled various sums of monies and it was because he was to conduct an audit that he was removed from office. The NVTI commented that there could be no independent enquiry into the misappropriation of funds as the matter was reported to the Nima Police.
