ASIHENE MICHAEL NATHAN AND ACCOUNTANT-GENERAL'S DEPT.
In his complaint dated 29th October, 1997, the complainant, Mr. Michael Nathan Asihene sought the intervention of the Commission against the stoppage of payment of his Civil Service Pension by the Respondents. Investigations were commenced by the Commission into the issues raised in the complainant's claim. Following investigations, discussion were held with officials of the Controller and Accountant-General's Department on 22nd March 1999, at which the Respondents agreed to rectify the situation and restore payments. By a letter dated 11th May, 1999, the complainant informed the Commission that the Respondents had rectified the situation and accordingly expressed his appreciation. In the circumstances the Commission considers the matter as completely resolved and accordingly ceases further investigation into the petition.
