SUMMARY OF COMPLAINT: Complainant an employee of B.N.I was detained in April 1988 for allegedly stealing heroin exhibit. Dismissal letter was served whilst in detention on 30th May 1988. He remained in detention until 1990. CLAIM: Complainant wants re-instatement and payment of salary arrears. FINDINGS / OBSERVATION: By letter dated 21/1/99 respondents informed the Commission that complainant has not complied with provisions of Act 526 of 1996 B.N.I law. Efforts to find out from petitioner if he did comply have proved futile till date inspite of several reminder letters. DECISION / RECOMMENDATION: The Commission ceases further investigation in the matter. This is in accordance with provisions of Section 13 (1) (b) of Act 456 which states that “Where in the course of the investigation of any complaint it appears to the Commission - (b) that having regard to all the circumstances Of the case, any further investigation is unnecessary, it may refuse to investigate the matt.....
