MARION B. OWUSU AND GHANA RAILWAY CORPORATION

By her complaint dated 31st October, 1996, Madam Marion B. Owusu requested the Commission to compel the respondent to prepare the necessary documents for her to enable her claim survivors benefit for her child: Esi Antobam Cudjoe. The Complainant alleged that, the child in question was the posthumans child of the late John Norman Kingsley Cudjoe. The Complainant further alleged that, the said John Norman Kingsley was her husband. He died on 20th June 1988. He was an employee of the Ghana Railway Corporation at the time of his death. Efforts on her part to claim suvivors benefit in respect of the child in question had failed. This is because the respondent had refused to prepare the necessary documents for claim. The respondents were contacted and they sent the required documents to the Commission for onward transmission to the Complainant.
