DATE OF COMPLAINT: 10th December, 1997. CLAIM: The petitioners claim are for payment of 3 months’ salary in lieu of Notice, Christmas bonus and furnishing of SSNIT Contribution Statement and Testimonials. SUMMARY OF COMPLAINT: Petitioners states that they worked with respondents for 1 year, that on 9/12/1997 they were served with termination letters effective the same say without notice. Cash was paid in lieu of notice and a further 8 days wages with accumulated leave of 21 days commuted to cash. They were not satisfied and therefore petitioned. FINDINGS / OBSERVATIONS: By a letter dated 13/8/99 the respondent informed the Commission that the matter has been disposed of between the Labour Department and the Construction and Building Material Workers Union of the T.U.C up till date the petitioners have not also followed up the petition.
