MICHAEL DENYAH AND STATE CONSTRUCTION CORPORATION

In an oral complaint filed on 8th January, 1997, the complainant Mr. Michael Denyah sought the intervention of the Commission against the failure by the Respondents to pay to him certain entitlements including his twenty-eight months salary arrears, transfer claim for the year 1993 and also his End of Service Benefits. In addition he wanted his Social Security pension paid since he had attained the voluntary retirement age of 55 years. According to the complainant he had been in the Respondent's employment for 31 years as a driver. He added that since 1993, payment of salaries had been erratic such that twenty-eight month salaries were outstanding. He complained further that his transfer claim made in 1993 when he was transferred from the North to Accra had also not been paid. He lamented that since the future of the Respondent Company was uncertain he wanted to claim the above reliefs.
