RALPH K. A. AHIABU AND GHANA ATOMIC ENERGY COMMISSION
In his complaint of 25th June 1998, Ralph K. A. Ahiabu, prayed this Commission to determine whether his interdiction and termination of appointment by Ghana Atomic Energy Commission, Respondent, were lawful. According to the facts as gleaned from the complaint, Complainant was employed into the services of Respondent as a Research Officer in February 1992. He rose to the position of the Head of the Plant and Soil Sciences of the Biotech and Nuclear Agricultural Research Institute (BNARI). Complainant alleged that the decision taken to interdict him arose from circumstances connected with a UNESCO fellowship awarded him to research into the topic of "In Vitro-heat therapy for virus elimination in cassava". The charges which were levelled against Complainant to cause his interdiction were that, firstly, he had not sought permission before travelling on the fellowship.
