This complaint was filed on 24th September, 1998. The complainant stated that his employment as a Junior Instructor had been based on an understanding that the Respondent would Sponsor his further education. However the Respondent had not only reneged on that understanding but had terminated his appointment because he and other collegues had complained to the America Head of Mission about the unfavourable Conditions of Service. The Respondent however denied that the complainant's appointment had been based on a promise to sponsor his education. Rather, a discussion about sponsorship had taken place only after the complainant's employment moreover such sponsorship is always in relation to availability of funds. The Respondent stated that the complainant's appointment had been terminated because he and some colleagues had been so disrespectful to the Ghana Director that their continued employment had been rendered impracticable.
