In his petition dated 15th March, 1995, the complainant stated that following the termination of his appointment in 1987 a Review Committee recommended his reinstatement. Yet the respondent failed to implement that recommendation. The complainant was therefore appealing to the Commission to order the respondent to reinstate him. After going into the merits of the submissions of the parties, the Commission rendered its decision on 11th February, 1998 and made the following order: "... the Commission accordingly orders the reinstatement of the complainant if there are no obstacles such as manpower ceiling or any other relevant consideration. However, if reinstatement is not practical , then the respondent should pay the redundancy award plus interest at the Bank rate from the date of his being declared redundant to the date of this decision.
