The complaint is in fact 3 complaints rolled into one respectively entitled: 1. GROSS INJUSTICE AND INHUMAN TREATMENT 2. UNLAWFUL ARREST AND DETENTION 3. TAKE OVER OF GOLDENRAE BY F.M.O. BANK The complainant alleges wrongful termination of appointment for which he is demanding payment of his entitlements and compensation. The complainant, 55 years of age and a retired Naval Chief Petty Officer of the Ghana Armed Forces was employed by the respondent, a mining company in July 1990, as Chief Security Officer. Among his many responsibilities was Gold transfer. According to him, he served the respondent with utmost honesty, loyalty and devotion. As a result, when in about December 1993 the respondent suffered a slump in its business and almost the entire workforce and staff, including the expatriate Managers, packed bag and baggage and left with all their entitlements paid to them, he was prevailed upon to stay on until the liquidation of the company or, in the alternative, until the ...
