AWUNI YEDOGOM AND FOREWIN [GH.] LTD.

Awuni Yedogo, the complainant herein by his complaint dated 8th March 1996 claimed the following from the respondent, Forewin (Gh.) Ltd.: 1. Payment of one months salary in lieu of notice. 2. Severance award of 3 months salary. 3. Compensation for wrongful termination. The complainant alleged that he worked for the repondent company as watchman for 3 years. On 19 February 1996 he reported for duty as usual and got injured in the foot in the course of work. He accordingly made a report to his boss, Mr. Ahmed, the Warehouse Manager. The Manager in question told the complainant that the company had no facilities for treating him, therefore he should take off some days to treat himself. The complainant eventually reported to work on 8 March 1996. The complainant was shocked to be informed that he had been dismissed and has thus been dissplaced.
