C. S. ATTIPOE & 4 ORS AND PUBLIC SERVICES COMMISSION
The Commission received a petition from Mr. C. S. Attipoe and 4 others dated 30th May 1996. The Complainant therein complained that the computation of their retirement benefits was wrong. They stated that they entered the Civil Service as pensionable officers in 1959/60. Their division was known as the Valuation Division. In 1986, it became the Land Valuation Board. They stated that they continued to enjoy Civil Service salary through the Controller & Accountant d Department. However, they said that they were retired on Civil Service pension in 1995 but the rest of their service from 1986 - 1996 was not taken into consideration in computing their benefits. They stated further that a letter from the Head of Civil Service to the Land Valuation Board instructing that the services of the staff should be considered as continuous service was ignored by the Controller & Accountant General's Department.
