By their complaint dated 27th May, 1998, the above-mentioned complainants requested the Commission to redress a complaint about their interest in their late father's property. The Complainants alleged that following their father's death, the respondent who is their cousin has taken steps to disposses them of their father's property. On his part, the respondent claimed that as a nephew of the deceased, he had a bonafide interest in his properties. This is because the deceased inherited two family member during his lifetime and used the proceed's of what he inherited to renovate the property in question. The Commission initiated mediation into this matter. The respondent was very incooperative, hence the Commission advised the complainants to pursue the matter in court. Having thus advised the complainants this Commission decides not to investigate this matter any further in accordance with Section 13(1)(b) of the Commission on Human Rights and Administrative Act 1993 (Act 456) whic...
