Introduction: In a complaint dated 12th January, 1999, the Complainant asked this. Commission to ensure that the Respondent had "him registered for an examination. The Complainant's Case The Complainant stated that he enrolled in the Respondent Institution to pursue a computer course. He stated that he an amount of ¢350,000 to Respondent as registration fee for the City and Guild Examination. However, he stated that when he asked for his index number, he was informed by the Respondent that their examination centre was not recognised by the Ministry of Education and that any certificate he received would not be valid. The Complainant said that although his money was refunded, he still felt cheated. As a result, he claimed compensation, i.e. some money to meet the next year's examination fee, school fees and a percentage of his living expenses for the following year.
