The Complainants in a petition dated 25th February, 1996, prayed this Commission to assist them get the balance of their redeployment benefits from the Respondents. They stated that they were retrenched in 1989 and were paid their benefits in 1995. However, the amount they were paid fell far below what they should have received. The 2nd Respondent, Prices and Incomes Board in its comments of 24 May, 1996 stated that the proper body to deal with the complaint was the Redeployment Management Committee of the Ministry of Employment and Social Welfare. However, in its comments to the Ministry of Employment and Social Welfare, and later sent to this Commission, the Prices and Incomes Board stated as follows: I. The Complainants were part of a group of 39 who were affected by the redeployment exercise in 1989. II.
