INTRODUCTION: The complainant was the Branch Manager of the respondent Bank at Oda. His appointment was terminated in 1990 as a result of unauthorised overdraft facility created by him resulting in a financial loss to the Bank He claimed his pension covering the period of 14 years 7 months that he had served the Bank. On the contrary, the Bank contended that he was not entitiled to it because one should have served 15 years to be qualified for pension paid by the bank to its retired or terminated employees. The main issue for determination is whether the complainant is entitled to pension. COMPLAINANT'S CASE: The complainant was transferred to Akim Oda in 1984 as the Branch Manager. In 1990 he was interdicted by the Bank on allegations of dishonest conduct in relation to some cheques belonging to a customer.
