ATTA KONADU & ANOTHER AND MINISTRY OF AGRICULTURE
INTRODUCTION On the 31st of December 1989, Dr. Yiadom Atta Konadu and Anthony Peprah who are both former Directors of the Ministry of Food and Agriculture, were interdicted by the then PNDC Government. They were investigated by the National Investigation Committee for a couple of years but no adverse findings were made against them. However in February 1992, the petitioners were retired prematurely from the civil service without any reason being assigned. COMPLAINANT'S CASE By a letter dated 23rd November 1995, Dr. Yiadom Atta Konadu complained to this Commission about his premature retirement as well as that of Mr. Anthony Peprah. According to him no reasons were assigned for their interdiction in 1989 and again no reason was assigned for the decision to retire them prematurely from the Civil Service.
