BAWA JACOB AND GHANA POLICE SERVICE
J.D. Clottey-Sefa Esq., Legal and Programme Officer, Africa Legal Aid filed a complaint on behalf of Bawa Jacob with this Commission on 3rd October, 2000. According to J.D. Clottey, his client was enlisted into the Ghana Police Service in 1997. Mr. Jacob Bawa was subsequently discharged from Service as a result of giving his GCE "O' Level Certificate to Musah Paul Bawa, who succeeded in enlisting into the Service. Mr. J. Clottey-Sefa stated that his client Jacob Bawa was highly aggrieved and dissatisfied with the action taken against him by the Police Administration, as he was not given any opportunity to defend himself. Mr. D.J. Clottey-Sefa craved the indulgence of the Commission to investigate the case and order the reinstatement of Jacob Bawa.
