ERIC JACOB AYISI AND ACCOUNTANT-GENERAL DEPARTMENT (PENSIONS COMPUTATION UNIT)
Mr. Eric Jacob Ayisi, the complainant, by his complaint craved for the indulgence of the Commission to recommend to the Accountant-General's Department to pay him pension and gratuity benefits for his past services to the State as the Guardsman/Security Officer at the P.D.D. The complainant stated in his complaint that, he was appointed as a Guardsman/Security Officer at the erstwhile Presidential Detail Department referred to as the P.D.D. in December 1965; that he was taken on as a pensionable officer on a salary scale of £510 x 25 - £710 per annum. He went on further to state that he never vacated his post at the P.D.D. until 24th February, 1966. When a Coup d'etat removed President Nkrumah from office and ended the reign of the 1st Republic.
