Date Complaint Received: 2nd October, 2001 Summary of Complaint: Complainant alleges that he entered into a contract for services with the Respondent. Even though he performed his part of the contract, the Respondent has however not paid him for work done. Claim: To compel Respondent to pay him his money. Observation: This is a clear case of debt collection. As a matter of principle, the Commission has declined jurisdiction. Recommendation: Having regard to the circumstances, any further investigation is unnecessary (Section 13(1)(b) of Act 456) which states as follows: Section 13(1) "Where in the course of the investigation of any complaint it appears to the Commission (b) that having regard to all the circumstances of the case, any further investigation is unnecessary, it may refuse to investigate the matter further," The Complainant...
