DANIEL AWUNI vs. WEST AFRICAN EXAMINATIONS COUNCIL EXAMINATIONS LOOP RIDGE, ACCRA
The applicant, Daniel Awuni, along with twelve other students from Notre Dame Secondary School, Navrongo, sat for the 2000 Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination (SSSCE) conducted by the West African Examinations Council (WAEC). WAEC cancelled their entire examination results and imposed a three-year ban from taking any WAEC examinations, alleging foreknowledge and collusion in the Mathematics Core Paper 2. The applicants denied any prior knowledge or collusion and claimed they were not questioned or given a chance to defend themselves, alleging a violation of natural justice.
