NANA APPEA-NYO II AND AKIM ABUAKWA TRADITIONAL COUNCIL
INTRODUCTION In the petition of 20th May 2002, received on the 22nd May 2002, the Complainant alleged that until March 1985, he was the Adontehene of Akim Abuakwa. The Complainant had been destooled but had not received any reasons for his destoolment and banishment from the palace and Kukurantumi. OBSERVATION The Commission declines jurisdiction in this matter, as it is a matter affecting chieftaincy. DECISION The Commission ceases further investigations into the matter. The Complainant should go to the appropriate forum which is the Judicial Committee of his Traditional area.
