TETTEH CHARLES AND INTER-CON SECURITY SERVICES

INTRODUCTION: On 15th November 2001, Tetteh Charles, a former employees of Inter-Con Security Services complained against his former employer for refusing to pay him compensation following his dismissal. THE COMPLAINANT'S CASE: The Complainant stated that he was dismissed on 10th February 2000 after armed robbers numbering about fifteen attacked him at post. He worked with the Respondent for one year one month (from 27th January 1999). He said he submitted a statement on the incident to the Respondent but instead of being compensated, he was dismissed. He appealed to the Commission to assist him claim his benefits. THE COMMISSION'S OBSERVATIONS: The Complainant failed to contact the Commission for a very long time. In its letter dated 19th December 2003 and reference 2026/2001/619, the Commission invited him to communicate his position on the matter and to indicate whether he was still interested in pursuing the matter but he failed to contact the Commission.
