In the complaint received on 3 May 2001 the Complainant alleged that various indents have taken place at the refugee camp, where the Police has been notified, but the Police failed to intervene. Further statements in the Press have heightened insecurity at the camp. He further alleged that some refugees have been kept in prison custody following bail terms set by the Courts. FINDINGS: In effort to address this petition, the Commission made several correspondence to get the complainant for discussions. The last letter sent dated 13th January 2004 requested the Complainant to state interest in pursuing the matter before 22 January 2004 else the case would be closed. The given date has passed and the complainant has still not responded, indicating disinterest in the matter.
