INTRODUCTION In his petition dated 29th May 2001, the Complainant pleaded with the Commission to prevail upon the Respondent to pay him his salary that had been unlawfully withheld. COMPLAINANT'S CASE The Complainant stated that he was an employee of the Respondent. He also stated that on April 13, 2001 he reported sick to the client of the Respondent, whose house he was guarding. The client relayed the message to the Respondent for a replacement. The Respondent warned him that he would be sacked the next time he reported sick because a new security guard should not report sick, frequently. Meanwhile, the Respondent did not take him to the Hospital. A friend of his, seeing the seriousness of his illness, took him in his car to the hospital. According to the Complainant, he went to the Respondent's office on the next day to pick a hospital form, but he was refused, so he had to go to his private hospital for treatment.
