This complaint concerned the salary arrears of the Complainant. It was lodged with the Commission on 25th September 2002. THE COMPLAINANT'S CASE: The Complainant was a Sales Assistant of the Respondent. He was employed on 5th September 2001. His post was the Arena outlet of the Respondent in Accra. His claim was that he had been wrongfully accused of selling eggs to the Respondent's customers at unapproved prices and pocketed the difference. Consequently, he was summarily dismissed on 29th August 2002. According to him, the accusation and subsequent dismissal followed his plea to the Respondent to pay his July 2002 salary because that salary had unduly delayed. He further stated that he was not given a hearing to enable him defend himself with regards to the allegations and that the Respondent never paid his social security contributions.
