INTRODUCTION By her petition dated 12th January 2001 Complainant alleged that the Respondent had refused to pay workman's compensation to the family after the death of her brother. COMPLAINANT'S CASE According to Complainant, her deceased brother Andrew Atanga was an employee of Respondent from March 1998 until his death in July 1999. The Complainant stated that, her deceased brother was involved in an accident in March 1999 in the course of duty. He was hospitalized for some time and later died in July 1999. The Complainant further stated that Respondent promised to pay his workmen's compensation but they have failed to honour this promise. Furthermore, a representative of the Respondent Company, one Mr. Doe is alleged to have directed the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital Records Section not to release any information about the deceased to the family.
