INTRODUCTION In his petition to this Commission, the Complainant stated that his employment in the Respondent public service was unlawfully terminated. The Complainant is therefore seeking an order for re-instatement with full benefits. COMPLAINANT'S CASE The Complainant alleged that he entered into the services of the Respondent in 1975. In November 1985, while on leave, the Complainant's appointment was terminated on the allegation that he had embezzled funds. According to the Complainant, this allegation was baseless and was never substantiated. The Complainant further stated that an investigation by the Koforidua Police into the matter exonerated him. Yet he was never re-instated. The Complainant petitioned the Headquarters of the Audit Service in Accra for re-instatement but all to no avail. For this reason, he has petitioned this Commission.
