INTRODUCTION Nicholas K. Bekoe and 4 others namely Richard Mensah, Kwame Gyamfi, Samuel Ansah and Moses Lagoh (i.e. the Complainants) alleged that the Inspector General of Police (IGP) treated them unfairly by dismissing them from the Ghana Police Service. COMPLAINANTS' CASE According to the Complainants, they were former Police Officers who were dismissed by the Respondent from the Police Service. They stated that before their dismissal from the Service, they were placed on interdiction for three (3) years on half pay and also made to appear before a Board of Service Enquiry. They explained further that before their recruitment into the Police Service, the Police conducted Proficiency Test and approved their competence before absorbing them into the Service. Although the Complainants stated that they were suspected of fraud, the Service did not state what kind of fraud they were alleged to have been involved in, hence their complaint for redress and reinstatement.
