INTRODUCTION The Complainant lodged this complaint dated 19th June 2001 against the Respondent for refusing to pay the Complainant the sum of £1,000,000 being the Complainant's net salary. COMPLAINANT'S CASE The Complainant was employed as a desk receptionist by the Respondent in 29th January 2001. The Complainant alleged that in the appointment letter issued by the Respondent, it was stated that a monthly salary of £250,000.00 and ¢15,000.00 per night duty allowance would be paid to the Complainant. The Complainant further alleged that the Respondent never paid her salary for 3 months and all efforts to retrieve the sum of £1,000,000.00 being her net salary including her night duty allowance had proved futile. Pursuant to C.I. 7 Section 3(1) of the Enabling Act 456, a copy of the complaint was served on the Respondent to comment thereon, but received no response.
