MR. MAMA BOJI AND ACCRA METROPOLITANT ASSEMBLY, KORLE-BU TEACHING HOSPITAL AND BARCLAYS BANK

In a complaint dated 28th August 2002, the Complainant alleged that being an employee of the first Respondent, his salary was never increased until he left in 1989. He again served with the second Respondent from 1989 to 2002 and he received only £2,111,000.00 instead of £4,800,000.00. Lastly the second Respondent paid his salary through the third Respondent but they deducted $433,000 from it without any good explanation. He therefore prayed the Commission to investigate thoroughly into these allegations. COMPLAINANT'S CASE According to the Complainant he was employed by AMA on 8th March 1978 as a cleaner and was given a monthly salary of £6,000.00. According to the Complainant when his salary was increased, the Accounts Department of the Respondent did not reflect this increment in his salary, but continued to pay him the same old salary until he was admitted at the Korle-Bu Teaching hospital for treatment as a result of the kind of work he was doing with the Respondent.
