INTRODUCTION: The Complainant alleged that the Respondent her ex-husband was shirking his responsibility as a father by refusing to provide for their daughter who has successfully completed J.S.S. and is in need of financial assistance to gain admission to the S.S.S. She was therefore seeking the Commission's assistance in getting the Respondent to live up to his responsibilities as a father. OBSERVATION: The Commission observes that the Complainant has abandoned her case as both she and the Respondent failed to appear before the Commission for a scheduled discussion. DECISION: The Commission accordingly discontinues any further investigations into the case in accordance with S.13(1)(b) of the Commission on Human Rights and Administrative Justice 1993 (Act 456) which states that: "Where in the course of the investigation of any complaint it appears to the Commission - that having regard to all the circumstances of the case, any further investigation is unnecessary, it may ref...
