The Complainant filed a complaint against the Respondent for a breach of contract, hence he is claiming the rest of the contract sum of money. The Respondent denied the Complainant's claim. COMPLAINANT'S VERSION In his complaint, he stated that the Respondent needed the service of a painter to do some painting work for his landlord. The Complainant alleged that he won the 'contract' to the tune of £2.5 million. This amount included scraping and painting of the house. The Complainant alleged that when work commenced on the building, the Respondent gave him ¢350,000 as part of the contract sum. The Complainant later claimed that the ¢350,000 was meant for transport expenses. The Complainant contended that he demanded part of the contract sum from the Respondent which the latter refused to succumb. This situation brought a brawl between them.
