INTRODUCTION In her complaint of 7th February, 2002, the Complainant alleged that her son was involved in a accident in which he died and that the Respondent is responsible for awarding the necessary insurance benefits to her. The Complainant stated that the Respondent has refused to award her the insurance benefits even though the owner of the vehicle involved in her son's accidental death claims the Respondent is responsible to compensate her on his behalf, so they have nothing to do for her. The Complainant therefore sought the assistance of the Commission to claim her compensation from the Respondent. OBSERVATION The Complainant was invited for discussion but failed to show up. Both parties were also invited for a mediation but none of them showed up and it was stated in the letter of the Complainant that her refusal to show up would compel the Commission to close the case on grounds of lack of interest.
