INTRODUCTION In his complaint of 11th May 1999, the Complainant alleged that he was employed by the Respondent as a Mortuary Attendant. They obliged to collect money from clients for washing their dead bodies. The Complainant states that being a Moslem that practice is a taboo. The Complainant stated that he became ill and was one day sitting outside the Mortuary when he was spotted by one Major who asked him to report to the Laboratory and go back. The Complainant alleged that after two days, the Major informed him that his appointment had been ' terminated. The Complainant further stated that his termination was due to his refusal to extort money from clients before washing their dead. The Complainant further alleged that the Respondent has not paid him for the three months he had worked. The Complainant therefore appeals to the Commission to compel the Respondent to reinstate him, compensate him and pay him his salary arrears. OBSERVATION The Respondent failed to furnish the...
