INTRODUCTION By a petition dated 3rd of October 2000 and received on the 4th of October 2000, the Complainant alleged that he was interdicted in a case involving short collection. COMPLAINANT'S CASE According to the Complainant, on the 6th of October 1997, he was assigned to examine some consignment of toilet rolls and that in the course of the examination, he saw various items unstuffed from various containers. However, his Bill of Lading and Invoice called for only toilet rolls and when he enquired from the clearing agent whether the cartons of toffees and chewing gum that had been packed neatly on some pallets close to the toilet rolls were part of the consignment, the agent replied in the negative. The Complainant said he thus meticulously did his examination and prepared the Landing Account book after which he learnt to his dismay that the toilet rolls had been intercepted and he was invited together with two senior officers by the CEPS Task Force for having done a shoddy wo...
