ANKOMAH J.B. vs. S.S.N.I.T.
The Complainant petitioned this Commission claiming that his SSNIT pension benefits had not been properly computed by the SSNNIT. The Respondent comments were sent to the complainant with a request for him to react to. He failed to do so. A reminder was sent and his son responded to the effect that he was not well. That was on 14th February 2003. Since then the complainant has not followed this petition. The Commission deems the complainant has abandoned the petition. Further investigation in this matter is ceased. The decision is in accordance with Section 13 of the Commission on Human Rights and Administrative Justice Act 1993 (Act 456) which states that: "Where in the course of any investigation of any complaint it appears to the Commission - that having regard to all the circumstance of the case, any further investigation is unnecessary it may refuse to investigate the matter further".
