AHENFIE CLOTH SELLERS ASSOCIATION PER THE PRESIDENT (PLAINTIFF) vs. PHILOMINA MENSAH & 3 OTHERS (DEFENDANT)
The Plaintiff a cloth selling association claims from the 1st defendant i. Repayment of an amount of 279 million cedis representing 31 weeks of 9 million cedis still unpaid ii. Interest on the above amount at the current bank rate, from the 15th day of December, 2004 to the date of final payment iii. Any other reliefs that may seem fit by this honourable court. The plaintiff’s case prosecuted on her behalf by her president Joana Ewurabena Ocran against the defendant is that she offered financial assistance of three hundred million cedis to defendant in order to enhance her business. According to her this particular transaction is one of several offered to the defendant who is also a member of the association. The other defendants mentioned in the Writ are guarantors of the defendant. The amount of three hundred million cedis is part of money sourced by the plaintiff from the Ghana Commercial Bank (GCB) to the knowledge of the defendant, which is given to members of the Ass.....
