FACTS In a complaint dated 11 January, 2001 the Complainant alleged that the District Director and two other officials at the Asikuma Odoben Brakwa District Education office were involved in mismanagement, embezzlement and misappropriation of public funds amounting to about ¢180,000,000.00. He therefore petitioned the Commission to investigate. OBSERVATION In the course of preliminary investigations the Commission per a letter dated 15 June, 2004 invited the complainant to provide further and better evidence to support his allegations. The complainant failed to honour this invitation. The Commission also observes that the complaint has not been pursued for more than three (3) months since it was lodged. The complaint has therefore lapsed. DECISION In light of the aforesaid observations the Commission finds the complaint as lapsed in accordance with Regulation 2(4) of the COMMISSION ON HUMAN RIGHTS AND ADMINISTRATIVE JUSTICE (COMPLAINT PROCEDURE) REGULATIONS, 1994 (CI 7).
