On the 18th November, 2002 the plaintiff who was a former employee of the Commission of Human Rights and Administrative Justice (CHRAJ) issued out Writ of Summons against the defendants herein for damages for malicious prosecution and general damages. In the attached Statement of Claim, the plaintiff avers that until his appointment as Chief Administrator with the Commission of Human Rights and Administrative Justice on 26th November, 1996 he was a Director with the Ministry of Environment, Science and Technology. The first defendant is the Commissioner and 2nd and 3rd defendants are Deputy Commissioners in charge of Legal and Operations and Finance and Administration respectively. The plaintiff assumed duty at the Commission on 2nd February, 1997 as Chief Administrator. His terms and conditions of employment were clearly stated in the letter of appointment dated 26th November, 1996.
