NATIONAL LABOUR COMMISSION vs. GHANA LEBANON ISLAMIC SEC. SCHOOL
This ruling is in respect of an application filed by the National Labour Commission (hereinafter referred to as the applicant) against Ghana Lebanon Islamic Secondary School (hereinafter referred to as the respondent) for an order for the enforcement of the orders of the applicant against the respondent under Section 172 of the Labour Act, 2003 (Act 651) and Order 19 of CI 47. In the Affidavit in Support filed on 19th February 2009, the applicant stated that on 26th June, 2007, three former employees of the respondent school made up of Jamil M. Swedor, Alhassan I. Omar and Zibrim Safianu (hereinafter referred to as petitioners) petitioned the applicant against the respondent for unlawfully terminating their teaching appointments.
