GLADYS DZARH-KU vs. GHANA INSTITUTE OF MANAGEMENT & PUBLIC ADMINISTRATION
The plaintiff was an employee of the defendant institution, who was allegedly dismissed on grounds of redundancy by the defendants on 30th September, 2001. She as a result instituted action against the defendant institution on 29th September, 2008 for the following reliefs: ā(1) A declaration that the dismissal of the plaintiffs from the defendant institute on grounds of redundancy by the defendant with effect from 1st October, 2001 is wrongful and therefore null and void. (2) An order reinstating the plaintiffs. (3) An order that the plaintiffs be paid their salaries from 1st October, 2001 to date of reinstatement. Or alternatively (4) Special damages for wrongful dismissal calculated at the current salaries payable to the plaintiffs from 1st October, 2001 to date of judgment.
