MRS GLADYS APPIAH AND ANOTHER vs. PATRICK KUSI ADDEI for KINGDOM CHARISMATIC MINISTRY
First plaintiff is ordinarily resident in the United States of America, but owns House No. 146 Block C, Mampong. Second plaintiff lives in that house. The defendant is a pastor, and heads Mampong Kingdom Charismatic Ministry which is a church operated in House No. 145, Block C also at Mampong. From their numbering, it is obvious the two buildings are close to each other. The evidence indicated that they share a common wall. It is therefore the case of the plaintiffs that the area where the houses are situated is designated by then Sekyere West District Assembly, recently elevated by L.1. 1908 to the status of a municipality, as purely residential, and in disregard for the planning scheme of the district planning authority, the defendant converted a dwelling house into a church without the prior approval of the assembly.
