ADUAMA OSEI JA This is an appeal against a judgment of the High Court, Tarkwa, dated the 5th of April, 2007, in which the High Court made an order prohibiting the Wassa Fiase Traditional Council from hearing an application filed by the Interested Parties/Appellants to set aside a judgment of the Judicial Committee of the Traditional Council dated 14th October, 1997. The judgment of 14th October, 1997, was delivered in an action instituted in the Wassa Fiase Traditional Council by the Ebusuapanyin of the Esuaso Stool Family and the Esuasohene against the Agona Family No. 1 of Esuaso. In that action, declarations were sought against the Agona Family No. 1 to the following effect: a) that the Asenaman Kotoko Stool of Esuaso was the one brought down to Wassa by Nana Kwadwo Anomako I, the son of Obaapanyin Bema; b) that having assaulted the reigning chief of Esuaso twice and damaged certain stool property, the members of the Family had defiled, degraded and disgraced the Esuaso Stoo...
