FACTS Complainant's case In a complaint received on 26th March 2009, the Complainant stated that she was employed as a social worker in the Civil Service in 1964 and she worked in the Department of Social Welfare (DSW). In 1983, the National Defence Committee initiated her removal from the DSW which resulted in the termination of her appointment. According to the Complainant she had information concerning her reinstatement in 2000 and had since made several attempts to be reinstated. However, she claimed she had information that the Office of the Head of the Civil Service (OHCS) had indicated that she could not be reinstated due to her long absence from duty. As a result, she was required to apply for her entitlements. Upon receipt of this information, she made several attempts to have her entitlements released to her but to no avail, thus her complaint to the Commission.
