THE REPUBLIC vs. JOSEPH ADJEI & 2ORS

JUDGMENT The Accused persons named herein, stand charged with the following offences: 1. One(1) count of Conspiracy to commit crime to wit: Extortion by Public Officer, contrary to Ss 23(1) and 239(1) of Act 29; 2. Two(2) counts of Corruption by Public Officer, contrary to S 239(1) of Act 29; 3. One(1) count of Attempt to Cause Financial loss to the State, contrary to Ss 18(2) and 179A(3)(a) of Act 29; and 4. Two(2) counts of Influencing Public officer, contrary to S 252(2) of Act 29. Whereas Joseph Adjei (A1) and Joseph Dontah Bilson (A2) have been charged jointly with One(1) Count of Conspiracy to commit crime to wit: Extortion by Public Officer; Two(2) Counts of Corruption by Public Officer, all the 3 Accused persons have jointly been charged with One(1) Count of Attempt to Cause Financial loss to the State.
