DOMINIC YANKSON vs. THE ATTORNEY GENERAL

The Plaintiff who was an employee of the Bureau of National Investigations (BNI) had his appointment terminated on 25th August, 2009. He as a result instituted an action against the Defendant on 16th March, 2010 for the following reliefs: (a) A declaration that the purported termination of the Plaintiff’s employment with the Defendant by the Acting Director communicated to him in a letter dated the 25th day of August, 2009 was irregular, unlawful and null and void and ought to be set aside. (b) A declaration that the Defendant is not entitled to treat the Plaintiff as if he were dismissed and hence the Plaintiff is entitled to arrears of his salary due from August, 2009. (c) An injunction restraining the Defendant by their servants, agents or otherwise from ejecting the Plaintiff (d) from or otherwise interfering in any manner whatsoever with the Plaintiff’s possession and quiet enjoyment of the residential accommodation allocated to him by virtue of his employment with the ...
