IRENE C DANQUAH JA; This is an appeal from the decision of the High Court, Sunyani dated 10th November, 2009 in which the court awarded to the Plaintiff the sum of GH¢10,000.00 as damages for trespass, GH¢40,000.00 as general damages for defamation, an order of injunction directed against the Defendant and cost accessed at GH¢12,000.00. The Court however refused to order recovery of 87 cattle from the Defendant. The facts of the case are these; The Plaintiff’s claims as endorsed on the writ were as follows: 1. A declaration that the search conducted at the Plaintiff’s residence at Naaba Akuraa near Kintampo on the early morning on 12th April, 2002 by the Defendant together with 4 Policemen and 20 Civilian is illegal and unlawful. 2.
